A few beautiful vantage points along the way. Many hikers taking pictures for others at the top. A unique spot with amazing vistas. Well worth your efforts!

Death at Devil's Bridge by Robin Paige | Books

The trails are well marked and the views of the Sedona rocks is gorgeous. More people than I expected on the hike but the views are worth it. I've done this a couple of times I live in Sedona and it is a great hike. If you don't have a high clearance vehicle I recommend walking in from Long Canyon Road rather than from forest road Nicer walk than the road. However, once you are on the Bridge, please be careful!

There are no railings and while it is reasonably wide, a fall from the Bridge will be fatal. A woman last year got nudged the wrong way by a passerby and fell to her death in front of her family. A larger point about Sedona's wilderness: this isn't Disneyland; it really is wilderness. We have wild animals - javelinas, mountain lions, bears, rattlesnakes, scorpions - that can be dangerous.

The local flora has plenty of thorns, spikes and spines. People die every year from falls off the rocks. Temperatures can drop quickly at sunset. Our almost mile high altitude takes getting used to for many as well. Bottom line: respect the wilderness. Carry plenty of water. Bring some snacks. Take your time. Give other visitors space and respect.

This is a beautiful place, and some common sense and consideration will help keep it that way for you and your fellow visitors. My husband and I took the long hike which starts off of the paved road and you don't need any particular kind of vehicle to get yourself to that point. The first few miles are fairly easy and anybody could get through those. If you come in off the dirt road you're going to need a little bit more physically to get you up the rest of the trail for that shorter distance. The last mile up and all the way up to the top can get a little bit steep.

Bring some water and take some short breaks. I also recommend going early if you're going in the warmer months so that you can be at the top before it gets too warm outside. If you aren't super study on your feet I recommend a Walkingstick, lots of people were using these. This was a wonderful hike and I highly recommend it to anybody that wants to get an amazing view of Sedona!

The hike itself wasn't difficult but the view from the bridge was awesome! Loved the photos I took with my husband on here - definitely FB worthy! Flights Vacation Rentals Restaurants Things to do.
