This book was a big hit with my grandchildren. I love that this incorporates relevant graphics and images to tell a story, but also teach science concepts. It can be used to reach a variety of students with varying learning styles.
SIMILAR BOOKS SUGGESTED BY OUR CRITICS:
I learned something on the very first page of the very first chapter. Each chapter starts with an important primer that sets the reader for the remainder of the lesson. Fun characters and a compelling story hook drove me to read carefully in order to solve the mystery. Cleverly incorporated vocabulary words stimulated my curiosity; I was engaged to learn their meaning which was eventually revealed in the context of the story.
The author has created a multi-level text that will allow educators to build a custom lesson plan; teachers can make the curriculum as easy or difficult as is required for their students i. It provides a great context for further learning if the student so desires.
The artwork is great; lots of bright vibrant colors. The story is presented in a comic book style. The illustrations of science concepts are very well done and help explain potentially difficult ideas. I highly recommend this book. I want to point out this is not just for use in the classroom. Old and new fans of educational comics will enjoy this read!

This is the best middle-school level, science based graphic novel that I've ever read, and I'm not just saying that because the writer and creator of it is currently threatening to douse me in super-cooled liquid helium as I type this review on my phone. The writing and art compliment each other perfectly to tell an immersive, cliffhanging story that will leave every reader not only wanting more of the cousins adventures, but eager to have science based ones of their own.
