Love Ain't for Keeping — Wikipédia

Behind Blue Eyes is a new four-part series following a young musician's turbulent life as he makes his rock and roll dreams come true in a city far from where he grew up. Equal parts family saga, love story, and rock and roll circus, this first novel will take you back to the late 70s in Toronto for a dramatic roller-coaster ride through the world of music. Inspired by the Pete Townshend song made famous by The Who, the series is at once a nostalgic love letter to the author's hometown and to the music she listened to while growing up there.

Addison Cole. To Tell the Truth. Janet Dailey. Harmony Raines. Junkyard Heart. Garrett Leigh. It is not what I was expecting to read, it caught me totally off guard - but it was brilliant. It tells the story of Ian and his love for Sarah in a way that has you hanging on to each word — the love, the tragedy, the strength he finds in caring for his daughter is bittersweet, and so touching.

There were many times when I wanted to shake Ian and tell him to get a grip, but at the same time, my heart broke for him. At other times, I was proud of him L Wow, what can I say? At other times, I was proud of him LOL. The characters are all amazingly well developed — so well in fact that each and every one stays with you long after you have put the book down.

This is a book that will draw you in as much as the first one did I appreciate the author's frank, skillfull and captivating portrayal of Toronto, London and the lifestyle of musicians of the late 70's. This sumptuous feast of a book takes a more serious turn as deeper subjects of life and death, addiction and abuse weave their way through the experiences of the main character, Ian Harrington.
